I get it. We get it. You wake up in the morning with the world bursting with energy all while you’re lying there on your bed wondering if you’re even going to make it to your local coffee shop let alone work. Everything is loud and celebratory, you are quiet, groggy; your patience in the human-race is resting on a hairpin trigger. You hear your name called out by the barista; the name on cup is mind-bogglingly spelled wrong; you raise the cup to your lips, anticipating the heat. As soon as the coffee touches your lips, your mood changes and you are officially...AWAKE!
AWAKE! for wind symphony is the fourth adaptation of the piece AWAKE! for Trumpet Octet.
